Who I work with

Reach out if any of these sound familiar…

Not every organisational challenge requires an external consultant.
But some signals are worth paying attention to.

Rising attrition, declining efficiency. Key people are leaving and you don't understand why. Salary increases and leadership development programmes haven't delivered the results you expected.

Digital/AI transformation stalled. You've implemented IT systems, but the human layer of your organisation hasn't followed the change; in fact, additional HR risks even emerged.

Innovation does not drive growth. You encourage knowledge sharing, yet something isn't working; initiatives fizzle out, and innovation just drains resources.

Alone with your decisions. As a senior leader, you're missing an environment where colleagues think at a similar level, or a community where you can validate decisions based on best practices.

Services

Three areas where I can help

Not generic consulting packages: every engagement is tailored to your real situation, with measurable goals and a clear roadmap, supported by experienced specialists from my network.

Organisational development and performance culture.

The Investors in People framework is used by more than 11,000 organisations worldwide to make the return on people investments measurable. As a registered IIP practitioner, I don't bring abstract principles: I introduce the framework, guide the organisation through accreditation, and help translate outcomes into real business decisions.

  • Organisational diagnostics using IIP tools
  • Development roadmap tailored to senior leadership
  • 6–18-month accompaniment programme
  • Full support through IIP accreditation
  • Add-in tools for measuring specific areas, such as health and wellbeing practices

Knowledge culture, digital/AI transformation and innovation management.

Digitalisation is not a technology project. The real challenge is ensuring the human and cultural layer of your organisation transforms alongside the systems. With an engineering background and decades of organisational development experience, I work precisely at the intersection of the two.

  • Assessment of knowledge-sharing practices and collaboration platforms
  • Innovation diagnostics, strategy and change management from idea generation to business models
  • Digital maturity assessment
  • Design and accompaniment of pilot programmes
  • Executive coaching through the transformation

"I don't just give advice.
I walk the road with you."
01

Diagnosis

Before recommending anything, I understand the organisation. Using diagnostic tools, in-depth interviews, and data, without assumptions.

02

Development plan

Not a generic template. A roadmap shaped to the organisation's real situation, with measurable goals and realistic milestones.

03

Accompaniment

I don't just send a report and disappear. I'm present through the execution as a sparring partner and a source of honest feedback.

04

Measurement

At specific intervals, e.g. every six months, we review what the numbers show. The engagement lasts as long as you require.

Case studies

What the numbers show

Real organisations, real challenges, measurable outcomes.

Challenge
Staff reductions due to the 76% downturn raised fears that a significant exodus of the best professionals would begin. At the same time, it was necessary to prepare for the post-crisis recovery by ensuring an adequate supply of skilled personnel.
Approach
IIP diagnosis revealed that the real issue was not a lack of employee commitment, but rather the need to align leadership roles with changing expectations. A development programme linked leadership communication to core values, created more opportunities for knowledge sharing, and shifted the focus toward fostering individual talent. An additional assessment of the organisation's innovation capabilities was also prepared.
Outcomes
698 → 735
out of 900 on the industry IIP benchmark score, ranked 5th best in international comparison.
Shortlisted for best overseas employer at the 2022 IIP Awards. Named best European airport in its category by Airports Council International in 2023.
Challenge
The company comprises a highly diverse, international team. In a sensitive strategic sector (water and electricity services), it is particularly important for team members to understand one another well.
Approach
Investors in People promised to be a suitable framework for aligning leadership practices and for fostering coordinated and efficient operations while respecting individual cultural backgrounds and preferences. IIP provides a framework for the organisation's people management practices, as well as contributes to ensuring efficient, error-free operations and maintaining a high level of innovation capability.
Outcomes
Silver
IIP accreditation in 2019.
Sustainability & Innovation Centre opened in 2020.
Challenge
Employers in the region faced fierce competition in the labour market, while the company's clients placed orders in increasingly unpredictable ways. This made scheduling shifts and retaining experienced staff more difficult.
Approach
The solution to business challenges was not stricter regulation, but rather a resilient mindset. IIP provided the framework for updating HR practices, such as flexible working hours, involving people in shift planning, and ensuring managers fully take into account staff members' current personal preferences.
Outcomes
0% and 0%
staff turnover and error rate in 2023.
The company serves as an international people management benchmark within the Dewhurst network.
Challenge
Unfinished projects led to measurable resource losses and a decline in motivation to participate in projects. The setting of project priorities was inconsistent, often resulting in a sense of rushing.
Approach
A multi-year programme was launched to integrate project culture. The primary focus was on raising awareness of project roles and fine-tuning project management techniques through training. Project offices were established at the various sites to manage the portfolio and provide professional support for projects, with a particular emphasis on innovation and improvement initiatives.
Outcomes
−80%
avoidable loss of project resources.
1 → 8
countries in the region where the unified project approach was rolled out over 5 years.
Challenge
We wanted to determine which leadership and communication techniques to use to engage specific groups, ensuring that the priorities of safety and operational integrity were consistently upheld across the entire company.
Approach
A survey based on a cultural model was conducted among the company's employees, categorising the characteristics of various subgroups and enabling the fine-tuning of the leadership benchmark and the managerial communication practices accordingly. It also helped to identify the cultural elements that connect these groups.
Outcomes
−5%
decrease in the number of deviations between 2021 and 2023.
Sustained culture of nuclear safety awareness according to the international standards of the World Association of Nuclear Operators.
Testimonials

What my clients say

Real words from real senior leaders.

Working with Gábor doesn't mean someone tells you what to do. It means you figure out together what actually needs to happen, and then you make it happen. Whenever we work together, tangible shared business value is created. I also work with other consultants. This is different.

József Takács, Chief HR Officer – Budapest Airport

Gábor doesn't let you settle for the comfortable answer. You might find this uncomfortable at times, but it always turns out that pushing the boundaries was worth it. The IIP approach has taught me a lot about my own business and helps us maintain our innovation momentum and competitive advantage.

Szilvia Szabó PhD, CEO – Szabó Language School

GAMECHANGERS is the only professional platform where I can receive live and truly useful feedback from other senior leaders. Not politeness but real questions and real answers. And that is exactly what I need. It is as if you were surrounded by an experienced team of consultants for whom no problem is unsolvable.

The question that drives me

How can you develop an organisation in a way that the people inside it genuinely benefit too?

I graduated as an electrical engineer in microelectronics and technology from the Budapest University of Technology in 1991. I soon realised that true progress requires more than just building systems; it also necessitates changing the way people operate. I worked as a headhunter and later as an organisational design and development consultant before founding my own consultancy firm.

I earned my MBA in 2008, specialising in human resource management and quality management. However, the most valuable lessons of the past three decades did not come from textbooks.

Investors in People provided the answer to the question mentioned above; today, as a registered international IIP expert, I apply and promote this organisational development approach. That same guiding question also inspired the creation of the GAMECHANGERS community, as I believe we must learn from one another to operate organisations that remain viable in the future and are tuned to innovation and value creation.
